It also helps to have both weapon damage and armor
absorption separate for impale, slash, and crush.
Chainmail is great against slash, not as good against
impale, and transmits most of crush right through
(which is why there was generally quilt padding under
the mail). Yes, Mythworld has this distinction and it
works quite well.
