In first, second and third edition damage to a location is also applied
to general hit points. Thus several small hits can still disable and
even kill you.

Of course! My group has always played that the full hit points signify
blood loss etc, so while you may not be down to zero in a specific
location, cumulitivly you have less blood left than a vampires breakfast.

Yes.  They come off locational and total hit points at the same time.

(This is regarding ordinary RQ, not MRQ).
