I have always ensured that there was some kind of healing available
cheapish early on to ensure that they got some and when they found how
dangerous combat was, became prepared to carry that kind f healing round
with them.

I just started a new RQII campaign and have re-discovered just how
deadly the system can be for those who do not prepare properly!
