CHAPTER 6: BARKSBURG FIELDS

Vanestra's army was marching on Nextor and the mice needed to get a message to them about Vanestra's plot before they arrived. Maginos came up with a great idea to leverage a favour from the Old Crow but they would need Brodie to subdue the Crow. Carrying with them Brodie's Claw they fashioned a Cat's Claw Horn which they would use to call Brodie when the time was right.
Journeying through the tunnels, the mice beat every challenge and found themselves in familiar territory in the Courtyard. However, Vanestra's minions must have anticipated their path as a great number of bugs and rats awaited them in the Courtyard, along with Old Crow circling overhead. Using similar tactics as previously, the mice stood still and waited for the minions to come to them which resulted in numerous minion deaths by the hungry crow. After a further battle, with bits of blood, guts, and fur all over the place, the Crow ambushed the mice. Before too much damage could be sustained however, Filch blew on the Cat's Claw Horn and the smack addict Brodie leapt into action and beat the  snot out of the Crow.
Before Brodie could eat the bird, the mice intervened and asked the cat to spare him. "Where's my smaaaaaaaaack?!?!?" snapped the cat. Maginos slowly drew out the catnip and gave it to Brodie. The cat smiled and started sniffing his precious drug.
The mice told the crow to warn Nextor and never attack the Courtyard again or they would get Brodie to eat him. The Old Crow wisely acquiesced.
