[Britannia-pendragon] 563AD and all is well...

It's 563AD. The last few years have been relatively peaceful and
prosperous, with some excellent tournaments. There was some drama between
Lancelot and Guenever, with the Queen banishing her champion until he
turned up, anonymously, after the Queen was accused of a capital crime.

There was extraordinary stories of the French winning a succession of
battles led by a mere girl named Jean. Fortunately, as the de Ganis clan
were sorely pressed, she was executed as a heretic. This was a bad year
for some women apparently with Elaine of Astolat committing suicide as her
love for Lancelot was not reciprocated. Both she and the heretic will be
able to join each other in hell for all eternity; such is the fate of
heretics and suiciders.

It is unusual at court this year; all the Orkney's are visiting, including
the Agravaine who had previously promised never to return. The atmosphere
at the dinner is quite intense. This will be resolved tomorrow night at
the keep of Baron Rodney at vespers (7pm)
