That sort of thing might be the best and only option.
I am happy to have starting knights, at this stage of the campaign,
beginning with up to 15 years previous experience (that is, starting up to
30 years old).
They will gain experience as per the normal rules for advanced character
generation, which is the 1d6 per annum, or +1 for skills over 15, or +1 to
statistics, traits, passions.
At this stage of the story I think most of you will be playing, at leats
in ability, second fiddle to Sir Cian who is reaching quite epic levels of
skill, and quite high levels of Glory. It is only natural really that any
vassal knights would consider following him.
